# Take Payment and Issue a Receipt

> Enter the amount paid, select the payment method, complete the sale, and print or download the receipt for the customer.

This guide covers the final steps of a MyStockPulse sale: reviewing the total, entering payment, completing the transaction, and providing a receipt to the customer.

## Review the Total

Before checkout, confirm every product, unit, quantity, price, line subtotal, item count, and the total amount. Catching an error now prevents inventory and accounting corrections later.

## Enter Payment

Enter an amount paid of zero or greater, using no more than two decimal places, and select the customer's payment method.

The POS calculates:

```text theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
Balance = Amount Paid - Total Amount
```

| Balance | Meaning |
| - | - |
| Positive | Change to return to the customer |
| Zero | Paid in full |
| Negative | Amount still due from the customer |

## Complete the Sale

Confirm the business, store, customer or walk-in status, products, units, prices, amount paid, and payment method. Select **Complete Sale** once and wait for confirmation.

When completed online, MyStockPulse:

* Creates the sale record
* Deducts stock from the selected store
* Captures cost and gross-profit information
* Records inventory snapshots
* Creates accounting entries
* Adds the transaction to Sales History
* Refreshes the product catalog

## Print or Download the Receipt

After completion, print the receipt or download the server-generated PDF. A receipt can include:

* Business, store, receipt number, date, and cashier
* Customer, when selected
* Products, units, quantities, and prices
* Total, amount paid, and change or balance
* Payment method and notes

If printing does not open, allow pop-ups for MyStockPulse or download the PDF. Older receipts are also available from **Sales > Sales History**.
