Stores and multi-location inventory

MyStockPulse uses Stores to separate inventory across physical locations. A store can represent a retail shop, warehouse, stock room, or fulfillment location that needs its own quantities and movement history.

Model locations clearly​

Create a location when the business needs an independent stock count and movement history for that place. Use names that staff can recognize without ambiguous abbreviations.

Examples include a main warehouse, downtown store, online-order stock room, or regional fulfillment center.

Plan a transfer​

  1. Confirm the source has enough usable quantity.
  2. Confirm the destination needs the stock.
  3. Record the products and quantities being moved.
  4. Identify the people responsible for dispatch and receipt.
  5. Keep the transfer open until the destination verifies the shipment.

Receive and reconcile​

The destination should count what arrived rather than accepting the dispatched quantity without verification. Record damaged or missing units and investigate the difference while the movement is recent.

Use location data for decisions​

Multi-location visibility helps determine whether to replenish from a supplier, move stock from a slower location, route an order to another warehouse, reduce stock at an underperforming store, or increase safety stock where demand is stronger.
