Sales Forecast helps estimate what may happen in the coming days or weeks based on recent sales activity. It can help you understand expected revenue, likely product demand, reorder needs, stockout risk, and possible overstock. Forecasts are planning tools, not promises. Review them alongside real business knowledge such as holidays, supplier delays, promotions, weather, market changes, and local events.

Before Using Sales Forecast

Forecasts become more useful when products are sold consistently, sales are recorded in the correct store, stock quantities are accurate, out-of-stock products are restocked promptly, and product costs and prices are maintained.

Open Sales Forecast

Open the dashboard, go to Reports, and select Sales Forecast. Choose the store you want to review, then select a forecast period. Sales Forecast period selector in MyStockPulse

Read the Forecast

The result includes a predicted value and a lower-to-upper range so you can see a safer expectation instead of relying on a single number. The lower bound is a more cautious estimate. The upper bound is a more optimistic estimate.

Confidence, Backtests, and Alerts

The confidence label helps you understand how much trust to place in the forecast. Backtest accuracy compares previous forecast estimates with real sales that already happened. Reorder alerts highlight products that may need restocking soon, while overstock warnings highlight products that may have more stock than expected demand justifies.
Use Sales Forecast weekly if your business has regular sales. Review forecast warnings before making purchase decisions and combine the forecast with knowledge of promotions, seasonal changes, supplier delays, and local events.
